Day Two Thousand and Six

The Chicken Fish

One week of ISR has come and gone and as it turns out, our Baby Fish is actually a chicken. Bawwwk bawwwk! You've gotta be kidding me, Amelia! She's spent every single lesson absolutely excelling in the swimming portion (she can almost float all by herself!!), but when she comes out from her swim and into Miss Gina's arms, it's instant tears and screams. "I no like that one! I'm all done! No more Mommy!" All of these statements in between swims and gigantic alligator tears. My goodness - I was expecting some tears, but they better subside soon. I hate seeing her upset and snot-nosed every day! But then reality sinks in: we live in Florida. We have a pool. Everywhere we go, there's water. So no matter how hard or for how long she fights it, this little girl WILL learn how to swim and float. She has to. Because the alternative isn't even in the same realm as big tears and big screams.

We left the pool yesterday a little frustrated but with a bit of homework for the weekend, and tomorrow, I can't wait to update on the HUGE progress we made this afternoon at our own pool!! Hint: I texted Miss Gina today and told her that Amelia is a total fraud! :D
