The Scout
I'm as fascinated with her as she is with her Daddy. How she spotted him out of four fields of grown men in beyond my comprehension. But she ran right up to the fence without my prompting and started hollering, "Hi Daddy! Hi Daddy!" It was maybe one of the sweetest things I've ever witnessed. She loves her Dada so much and it completely overwhelms me! She stood like this for a solid five minutes shouting his name before I had to distract her with an apple. Adam's live BP session was on a back field with hardly anyone besides the hitters around, so her voice certainly got the attention of everyone there - even Adam as he pitched! Whoops!
Adam threw two "innings," both 17 pitches long. During his second inning of work, Amelia got out her pen and notepad and started taking some notes. Our little scout! She later let Daddy know just what she thought of his performance.
"Daddy, you did good. And you looked really handsome out there. But maybe you need to grow your hair out a little more. It makes you more funner to watch. Oh and this year I mean it: I wanna see more strikes! So far, what I saw yesterday, I liked. Keep it up."
