The Best Place of Rest
When you've only gotten 3 hours of sleep the night before, any place will suffice as a place to rest your head. Including on the floor next to your bed. Naturally. This is how we found Bearett yesterday morning. And not wanting to wake him until he was ready, we let him continue on in his choice of bedding. But for the record, he didn't start out sleeping on the floor.
Somehow, he was quite well rested by the time he woke up. Probably had something to do with the lack of sleep from the night before. Thankful, he's already adjusted to Florida time and happy as a clam to be here. We visited the "bouncy house" yesterday after seeing our chiropractor Dr. Lucas and dropping off Dada off at the gym. These two had more fun attacking each other with puppets than actually bouncing on anything, but hey, the 22 bucks was totally worth the show.
But this?
Priceless.
Every night, Amelia asks for "Bable" and "Baby Jesus." So, we open her Bible and she picks the story she wants Daddy to read. She picked "Baby Jesus" again last night, and I couldn't have picked better myself. She got to show Bearett who Baby Jesus is and he got to learn about the story of Jesus' birth. When we finished, all of us turned over, folded our hands, and prayed. Just like we do every night. But last night was extra special because we got to include Bearett in on our prayers. Love you BearBear. So much.
