The Conleys Sign a Contract
A potential Conley Home?
A room for Amelia?!
She says, "Oh, where do I sign?!! And does this mean I can finally get my lamp?!"
We put in an offer, the offer was accepted, and the contract was signed yesterday! Now, we wait! Until then, let's play some baseball!!
Perfect baseball, how about?!
Adam struck out 4 hitters in two innings.
By the fifth inning, he was perfect.
No hits.
No runs.
No walks.
Just a bunch of Ks.
"YAAAAA DADA! Keep it up," she screamed!
Oh no you didn't just comment on his perfect game.
Daggummit!
Whelp, no more perfect game. Thanks a lot!
Someone spoke about it (I'll save them face this time), and of course, the next inning, Adam gave up two hits and a walk to load the bases with no outs in the fifth. Goodbye perfect game. He got out of the jam only giving up one run though. But my friends, the lesson is this: NEVER comment on a perfect game or a no-hitter while it's in progress! Ever!! Haha!
And so, while Dad went out for the sixth and seventh inning - in what would become a very special game - Amelia became the model in yet another photo shoot. This time, with her future husband, Carston?! Ha!
Such cuties!!
I can't wait to show them photos of themselves together when they're grown up. If we do, in fact, get the house, we'll be only a few houses down from Carston, so we'll have plenty to embarrass them with!
Adam's game was special because of this:
If you look at the bottom right of this photo, you'll see a black screen with a bunch of Ks on it. There's eight of them! Adam struck out a career-high 8 hitters in last night's game!! He seems to have found his groove these past couple games and we're hoping it continues! He was up to 96 last night and threw 90 pitches in 6+ innings.
Way to go, Adam!
We're all so proud of you!!
Hey, why can't I squeeze your nose, Daddy?
Huh, weird.
I sure love you anyways.
6+ IP, 3H, 1R, 1ER, 1BB, 8K, and a No Decision.
He's still 4-1 with a 3.93 ERA!
Also, Adam was named Marlins Minor League Pitcher of the Year yesterday.
A huge honor.
A huge accomplishment.
What a year it's been, Adam.
We can't tell you just how encouraged and proud we are of all your hard work and perseverance! Congratulations, Daddy.
