Day Fourteen Hundred and Seventy-Six

The Firsts Just Keep On Coming

Look who took her first licks and sucks of Mommy's fruit strip!
Mmmmmm, Mom! What is this?!
Tastes a little bit better than all the metal I LOVE chewing on!

Amelia is exclusively breastfed and until she shows interest in the food Adam and I eat, she'll remain breastfed only. We're following a strategy called "Baby Led Weaning," in which once the child is able to feed themselves real, whole foods, that's when they're ready to eat. And while this was just a little experiment (she doesn't have any teeth and BLW suggests no purees), it sure was cute to watch her face experiment with the taste and texture!

We cleaned up, drove to the game, and then met Billy the Marlin for the very first time!! Amelia showed no fear of the Marlins mascot and actually gave me a grin from the comfort of his arms!

We experienced Marlins Park with the roof open for the first time....

...and though it was pretty...it was also pretty hot, so we went to the family room for the first time...

AND AMELIA DECIDED THAT SHE WANTED TO CRAWL FOR THE VERY FIRST TIME TOO!! In the family room and just one day shy of her 7-month birthday!!!!!

GOOD JOB Baby Girl!!
We're so proud of you!
That caterpillar was totally worth it, huh?!

Oh, what a day!!
It's so much fun watching your baby change right in front of your eyes, but definitely, sad too. She's growing up and learning so quickly (and at times, Daddy doesn't even get to witness the milestones), but we're proud of the lady she is and love her more and more by the day!
