Day Fourteen Hundred and Thirty-Five

The Gateway to the West

Psssst!

Hey Baby! Wake up!

Hiiiiiii Sweetheart! Get ready quick! Mommy and Daddy have a surprise for you, CuteFace!

Ta Da!!
The Gateway Arch!

Yesterday, we woke you up really early (sorry), so that the three of us could take a trip to the top and experience this historic monument the way it should be!

We got our boarding passes,

Stood in awe of the Arch's unique history,

Got a little nervous about the Ferris wheel-type system that takes you to the top,

And made our way down to the gates in order to go up to the view!

When you were in my tummy, Daddy and I watched a TV show called Lost. The entire lower level of the Arch could very well serve as a stage for that series! Kinda creepy!

Dada crawling into the pod before us!

Here we goooooo!

And here's that stunning view, Little Girl!! Amazing, huh?! Well, what do you think?! Was it a good surprise or what?!

I take that as a no.
Darnit!
What do we have to do to impress you, Amelia?!! I swear, all you do is sleep during the important things!

At least Dada was awake to enjoy it with me!

But even though you slept through it, we were glad you were there to experience it with us!

So beautiful.

I love you, Conley Three. And so happy we're exploring this nation together.

And then it was time to get ready for the game! Which...is almost impossible with a 5-month-old in a hotel room. But a little creativity, and ha!

Mama: 1
Millie: 0

St. Louis by day.
Just as pretty!

Aaaaaand, time for nap #2!

I never tire of saying it: she's the best! She sleeps anywhere, eats anywhere, gets her diaper changed anywhere.

And watches the Fish Win everywhere!!
