Day Thirteen Hundred and Fifty

The Shoes They Can Walk New Miles In

For each pair of sandals we baseball ladies decorated last night, our hope is that they'll bring a smile, a bit of joy, and some cute fashion to a community of women who've just been rescued out of sex trafficking in Alabama. This is the first community service project I've ever been apart of in baseball, and my goodness, was it a sweet time of fellowship and reflection as we focused on something - or rather, someones - other than ourselves and our baseball careers. It was humbling. It was rewarding. And it put things more into perspective.

And when we were done bedazzling, we got to hang with Daddy while he charted.
