Day One Thousand Two Hundred and Seventy-Seven

The Two-Week Check-Up

Little Amelia isn't so little anymore! In just 8 days since her last visit, our Little Love has gained 14 ounces, grown an inch and a half, and increased her brain size by another .75 inches! Noooooo!! Slow down my Sweetness! I want to cuddle you this small forever!

Ok, so, turns out, being a parent is terrifying. It breaks my heart to hear her cry and every symptom she presents has me worrying for her life. Yesterday, I noticed a little rash on Millie (you can sort of some on her face) that about sent me over the edge. I called the pediatrician and they had me come in yesterday (our original appointment wasn't scheduled until today), just to be sure it wasn't anything serious. Well, it wasn't. It isn't. She's just fine - many normal and healthy babies contract this little rash and it doesn't bother them at all. Great news to hear, but still, my heart can't handle it!! She's too sweet to have anything happen to her!!

Some Millie Milestones:
She (obviously) has a great latch and eats like a piggy!
She always wants to suck - on anything - and fusses until she's got something...like the pacifier that we swore we wouldn't give.
She's already starting to try to hold her head up.
She sleeps quietly through the night and doesn't wake Daddy.
She HATES falling asleep in the afternoon - fights it every time.
She loves being outside and feeling the wind.
She burps and farts without reservation and hiccups ALL the time - just like in the womb.
She sleeps with her left arm at her face and doesn't like it swaddled.
She sometimes sleeps with her eyes open and it freaks me out.
She waits till we're done changing her diaper to immediately soil the new one.
She loves it when Daddy comes home and cuddles her tight.
