The Third Trimester Snooze
Adam texted me yesterday asking what I was up to. Since I hadn't barely slept the night before, I told him I was relaxing, and sent him this picture.
By the time he got home though, my "relaxing" had actually turned into straight up snoring. Sexy, I know. But hey, at least I managed to fall asleep! That's a victory if you ask, well, either of us! It's so funny now that I've experienced all three trimesters. The first trimester I was so tired, it was all that I could do to stay awake. Then in the second, I had all the energy in the world. And now, I still have energy, but I'm back to being tired exhausted...the only difference from the first to the third was that in the first, I could fall asleep on command and now, I couldn't do it if you had a gun to my head!
So yeah, I can officially say I've been a narcoleptic and an insomniac in less than a nine month time span. That's pretty impressive if you ask me. Still though, this pregnancy has been absolutely incredible and I'm definitely going to miss it - even the sleepy parts. That's maybe weird to say, but having this little life inside me - so close to me always - is something so special that I'll never be able to forget. Her little movements make me smile every time. It's a constant reminder of just how intricately perfect our Creator is and fills me with joy to know that He gave me this miraculous ability to bring life into the world. I certainly can't wait to meet our Little Blessing, but I have thoroughly loved getting to know her from the inside.
