The 35th Week

Girlfriend!!!

You're 35 weeks 6 days old and the cutest thing I've EVER felt in my whole entire life! Gosh I love you! Want to know what I realized this week? A lot of my shirts (even the baby shower dress I wore on Saturday) are more worn-looking in the center. Want to know why? Because I ALWAYS have my hands on you! Always! I rub your little butt constantly, hoping to feel another kick or another body jiggle. Lately, I think you're rotating from side to side - your booty going from the right side of my rib cage to the other side in a sort of wavelike fashion. It feels so cool...and my shirts will back me up on that!! :) But I will say though, this week's also been one that's come with quite a few sharp pains in the very lowest part of the left side of my abdomen. Since you're already in the head-down position and facing my back (yay!), I think what's happening is that your little arm is probably cramped and sometimes, when you're trying to stretch out real quick, you jab my side on accident! It's nothing to worry about though. When it happens, I just push my hand into the spot you're pushing on and you move your arm (or whatever little body part it is) elsewhere. I hope you don't mind. I do realize there's only so much space in there, so I try to be gentle!! 

Ok, so as of now, you're over 18 inches long (holy batman!) and weigh somewhere in the ballpark of about 5.25 pounds - just like a sack of potatoes! That's a big girl!! In the next 4 weeks, you're expected to gain about a half a pound a week...and me...a pound. So crazy! As of the end of this week, I've gained exactly 20 pounds and am feeling great...hopefully just like you! We were quite the busybodies these past 7 days though, so hopefully Week 36 will give us a chance to rest up a bit and get our energy back as we come into the homestretch! Oh, I had a dream last night that I gave birth to you four times...and every time, it was so peaceful and exciting! And I wasn't scared at all! I woke up with a smile and with further confirmation that we (you, me, and Daddy) are going to enjoy every second of your birth, Sweet Girl. 

Only 29 days left until Daddy and I get to kiss you all over!!

I can't wait to lay your head on my chest and whisper to you just how much you mean to me. I'm so in love with you already and I know that it'll only continue to grow every day of your life. You are treasured, Little Baby Girl.
