Day One Thousand One Hundred and Forty-Nine

The Platform

Adam was invited to speak to a local high school's booster club last night. And speak, he did. As a wife, I've never before been so proud of the man I chose to marry. So confident and eloquent in his speech, he shared his testimony and fielded questions from a group of complete strangers with conviction and love. It was a humbling experience for the both of us and we look forward - more than ever - with anticipation to God's work in our lives for the sake of those who don't know Christ.

This is the reason God gave him his talent.
To arm him with a platform to share his testimony as a witness to the redemptive power of God's saving grace. Though baseball is arguably the best job ever, someday it will end. And we want to make it a priority every day to invest in Someone that will never end. That Someone is Jesus.

Such an incredible night…until…I caught a couple of peeping toms spying on me from the other room!  Creeps! Daddy says they were just secretly checkin on me and the Babe, but I can never be too sure with those two.
