Day One Thousand One Hundred and Forty-One

The Twenty-Second Week

Dear Baby Conley,
You're growing faster and faster these days, and finally, I think I'm starting to look a little pregnant-ish! A cashier at the store even asked about you and it made me so happy that she could tell you were in there! You're right around a pound now (I've gained almost 10), about 11 inches long, and roughly the size of a spaghetti squash. Mmmmm. Mama loves spaghetti squash. You're eyes are completely formed and you even have little tooth buds developing beneath your gums! Wow! Also, you've been moving like a crazy lady lately, giving me little love kicks throughout the day. At night, you especially like to let me know you're there and sometimes, you even let Daddy know you're there too! He's felt your little feeties quite a few times now, but it does seem that you're a bit more bashful when he puts his hand on my tummy to feel your taps. But don't worry, sweetie, Daddy doesn't mind if you kick me gently…we think it's fun! So kick all you want! Just make sure they're always gentle…or else you might have an actual reason to be bashful around your Pa!

This week was a tad rough on Mommy. Since you're starting to grow faster, things in Mommy's body are moving around like crazy. It's not your fault, so don't be sad, but I've been in a lot of pain the last few days. It's hard to put weight on my right leg because of ligaments stretching and my unaligned bottom-half moving, however, Dr. Matlock was able to adjust my pubic bone back into place, which alleviated a good portion of my pain. I can't wait for you to meet him, by the way! You're gonna feel like a whole new woman when he adjusts you for the first time after you're born!

Oh also, Mommy and Daddy have been busy researching and researching like a couple a big nerds this week. We've learned a whole lot about your tiny body, about my Mama body, and about how vaccinations affect the both of us. It's been fascinating learning what we have, and we're excited to continue our research so we can provide the best life for you we know how!

Love you, my little Conley Girl!
I hope you're nice and cozy in there!
But don't get too used to it! Only 18 more weeks, my Love!
