Day One Thousand and Eighty-Seven

The New Motivator


While Adam was bulking his legs and being all manly,


I was finishing my workout and burning lots of calories!
The new system in our gym (which uses personalized heart rate monitor belts), tracks and records the percentage of maximum heart rate you're working out at, your constant heart rate, the total calories you've burned (KCal), and the points you've earned over the duration of the workout. Using those variables, our coaches (and ourselves) are able to determine our workout needs for that day, how hard we're exercising, and how fast our bodies are recovering from each exercise. I've been using it for two weeks now and absolutely love it. Mostly because it makes me feel better when I chow down on treats and bread…"Oh, maybe I shouldn't eat that?" Yeah right, eat it! You burned a ELEVEN HUNDRED calories at the gym today! You should get two pieces of toast for that! And a milkshake! ;)
