Day One thousand and Ten

The Fin Flashback

Adam threw for the Jupiter Hammerheads last night. It was surreal-ish. He pitched for the Fins two seasons ago, and I can't say that I ever expected to see him in that uniform again. Such is life in baseball. So, to complete his stint on the DL, they placed him on the roster (since the Hammerheads' home field is in Jupiter) and gave him the ball.

It's been around 6 weeks since he's thrown in an actual game. Six. And though that's significantly longer than we'd originally thought, hopefully we're closing in on our time here. He flossed out some cobwebs and worked away some kinks, throwing somewhere around 88 pitches in 5.1 innings. It was exciting to see him back on the mound, and it's official: my baseball butterflies are back.
