Day Nine Hundred and Sixty-Four

The Sixth Start...

…made me mad.
Immediately after his outing, I was trying to decide if I still love baseball, or if in fact, I hate it.
I hate baseball. I love baseball. I hate baseball. I love baseball. I hate ba…I need a nap.

This game is all-consuming and so tiring sometimes! Worst part is: I don't even play! Gah!

The girls and I drove 8 hours from Nashville back to New Orleans yesterday, as the boys made their way to Round Rock, Texas through the clouds. All of us woke up around 6AM, after a 1AM bedtime the night before, and I'll speak for everyone when I say that we were absolutely dragging. By the time  us girls finally made it home, all I wanted to do was shower and sleep. For a day. At least. But that wasn't even close to the case for Adam. I can't even imagine how he was feeling: he still had an entire game to pitch!

But, an entire game it wasn't.
He didn't make it out of the fifth and endured another poopy inning. These fluke, one-inning mini-disasters are getting on my last nerve! Stay out of our lives, 4-run innings! We despise you! Other than his lame 5th inning fiasco, Adam did throw well, especially considering his very first start on a travel day (by plane). He mentioned that he learned a lot, and if not for a few mistake pitches, the game would've probably gone a whole lot different. And to that I say ok! Better luck next time. Only, Adam…you don't need luck, Hon! ;)

His line:
4.2IP, 7H, 5R, 5ER, 1HR, 2BB, 5K, and a No-Decision
