Day Nine Hundred and Seventy-Nine

The Bathroom's Getting Closer!

We got the light fixtures up yesterday, as well as one mirror and the baseboard...

And it looks way way better.
Now, we just need to install the other mirror, twist in the light fixture shades, frame the mirror, screw in the face plates and toilet roll holder, and clean the floor…and finally, our Grandmother's Day (Week) project will be complete! Whew! In just a week's time, I've learned how much of a pain wallpaper is, how tedious painting can be, how to clean oil based primer off my hands (and elbows and knees), how to not remove old light fixtures (we managed to disconnect all the wires without getting electrocuted…because we didn't turn the power off. Whoops, sorry Papa...), how stupidly expensive anything in the lumber aisle of Home Depot is, and most importantly, how big a smile a fresh coat of paint can bring a Grama. All the sweat, time, and paint splatters still in my hair were well worth that grin.

Cutie of the Day!
He ate noodles off chopsticks for the first time!

He says, "I love Mongolian Grill! But oopsies. Did I do that?! Hopefully they have a puppy. Or a vacuum."
