Day Six Hundred and Thirty-One

The Good News About Day Games

I stalked a grumpy scout yesterday. It was 11 AM and he was not happy. Clearly.
The turnaround from a night game to a day game is rough on the boys. They finally hit the pillow around 1 AM and have to get up again in 6 hours. It's like working graveyard every single night and then having to take the day shift too. Not the most desirable. Especially in 90 degree, humid Florida heat.

When I say hot and humid, I mean hot and humid.
Schweaaaaaaaty boys.

And then...I lost my camera.
Yeah, I said it. I LOST MY CAMERA.
All my fault. But Adam knew he was in for a rough night because of it.
So, he scoured the field, the stands, and everywhere in between...desperate to find the camera before his distraught wife fell completely apart. His "I have it" text brought an overwhelming relief. To the lady who found it, he gave a hug and told her, "I woulda gotten in less trouble if I'd lost my wedding ring!" Hhahaha...when he finally got home, he scolded me and then demanded me to tag my camera. I obliged without complaint. Poor guy...he really doesn't want to see the day I actually lose my camera...and I don't blame him.

The day did get better though. And this is proof.
ADAM IS TALKING TO HIS BROTHER on the phone in this photo...which means???
JEREMY IS HOME FROM AFGHANISTAN!!!
Welcome back, brother! So thankful for your service and safe travels home!

My surprise dinner to Adam! Another reason to smile!
A special marinaded streak, broccoli, and twice baked potatoes. Mmmm.

The good news about day games: they end early...which gives us all night to hang out! So, a group of us went out to celebrate Lee Ann's birthday...and while we were out, we watched one of our Suns make his Big League debut for the Marlins! Happy birthday Lee Ann!! And congratulations Edgar! So so fun.
