Day Six Hundred and Fifty

The Birth of Baby Bearett
(And Ginnie Springs)

I spent the majority of yesterday here. At Ginnie Springs near Gainsville, Florida (where the UF Gators are located) with a sweet girlfriend of mine. Bubbling in the center of the photo is the water coming up from underneath the surface of the Earth - a spring. The darker portions of the water are actually underwater caves, where scuba divers go to explore the unknown. A large sign to the left of the picture explains that cave diving is very dangerous - for certified divers only - and that diving deaths have occurred in this very spot. Thanks, but I'm fine with appreciating the beauty from above!

The majority of my night was spent hooked to my phone. The pictures were buzzing in non-stop, as Morgan was situated nicely into the maternity ward at Sacred Heart Hospital. Baby Boy was ON HIS WAY and ready to meet Mommy, his family, and the great big world!

Meet my sweet and precious miracle baby nephew, Bearett John Nicholas Mays (Little Bear!!). Born on June 22, 2013 at 9:30 PM PST, he's 7lbs 3oz, 21 inches long and obviously already has some big muscles to show off. He's one healthy boy...and Mama is doing so good. She is relieved that the birthing process is over, and overwhelmed by the love and joy wrapped up in this little gift of life. It is by God's grace that Baby Bearett lives and I'll forever look at him with a thankful heart. You're a miracle, Baby Bearett. And you've brought an immense amount of joy into the lives of so many people. We love you. We cherish you. And today, we celebrate you. God, thank you for the gift of life. And thank you for Your faithfulness. Praise You. Praise You, Jesus.

Morgan, I'm infinitely proud of you.
Bearett John Nicholas (John after my father and Nicholas after my Papa) is so very blessed to call you Mom.
