Day Six Hundred and Five

The Clutch

On paper, the Jacksonville Suns are one of the best teams in all minor league baseball. Before three of our top prospects went to the Big Leagues, we were arguably the best team in all of the minor leagues. The Marlins are in a unique phase of growth right now, and experiencing a lot of change at nearly every position. This is an exciting time for both Major League players to establish themselves as big leaguers, and for Minor League players to take advantage of every opportunity during this time of rebuilding. Most of the guys on this team were drafted within a year of each other and have therefore been able to grow, develop, and learn together, both on and off the field...something very special. In a business that suggests selfishness, this core group of players have found unselfish ways to win baseball games. Right now, one of our hottest hitters is our left fielder...he seems to find big hits when we need them most. And yesterday, he did it again. The team celebrated his 2-run homer to put the Suns up 3-1 in the bottom of the 8th. That being the final score :)

I suckered him into another picture with me.
It's only fair...they don't come very often!
