Day Five Hundred and Ninety-Four

The Girls of Summer

Baseball Babes at our finest :)
Yesterday, I invited all the girls over to our place for some sunbathin and relaxin. Ahhh! These past few days have just been so sweet. And very rewarding. There's a special bond that immediately formed amongst the group us. We uniquely share very similar struggles, highs, lows, and the in betweens. Life in the minor leagues can definitely get a bit lonely. Those of us who are able to follow our men around the country tend to lose a piece of our identity to baseball...it's a funny thing, but it's real. And true. We lose stability, leave friends, and battle the uncertainty of new cities. The other half of us compete with the loneliness of thousands of miles of separation, heartache, and frustration. While they still claim their own identities in jobs, school, or friendship circles, they lose the hours and memories spent with their very best friend. But through it all, we manage somehow...it's just a bit easier, sweeter, and more comforting with a group of ladies experiencing the same things to share the burdens with.

I'm so thankful for each one of these beautiful women. They're wonderful and a sure blessing of an answered prayer.

Knowing that the boys would be much more willing for a photoshoot opportunity if more were involved, we coerced a large group of them with threats of tears if they didn't comply...and this was the result! Hahahaha! Lovin these people...and the power that comes with a group of beautiful women ;)

Well isn't this just precious?! Ha!
I need the girls here more often..."But Babe, all the other girls are taking pictures with their guys on the field?!!! Please?!" Hehehe...Coercion at its finest.
I LOVE MY SUN!
