Day Four Hundred and Sixty

The Crafty Christmas Creations

Above all things, my heart is broken. And before I write about my life yesterday, I want to write about their lives today. Early this morning, 20 precious little children and 6 beautiful adults were murdered at an elementary school in Connecticut. Oh, God. They were just babies...pure and so innocent. The words fail me every time I try to speak of the horror. It hurts my heart beyond anything I could ever imagine and I can't help but to think of the devastation and desolation gripping their families right now. With dwindling hope for this sinful, depraved, and fallen world, I find comfort in the words my friend Josh wrote..."A Hero is coming. Tears and terror will cease. May we long for the day." God, please please be near to Newton as they battle this terrifying reality...wrap Your loving arms around them and in the midst of unimaginable chaos, bring them the peace only You can bring. And God, my hope rests in the good news that You've welcomed your children Home today.

I spent the majority of yesterday switching between my seat at the table and my seat on the couch. It's Christmas crunch time, and finally I figured out just some of the gifts I want to give this year. With so much to do, I immediately went into "go mode." And once I get started on a task, there's little you can do to take me from it. My Pinterest-self came to life and boy was she impressive! Ha! My gifts are only in the beginning stages, but oh gosh, I've never been more excited about what my little mind turned out! Hopefully they'll be wrapped and ready to go by Monday! I love Christmas time!! (And once the 25th has passed, I'll be sure to post some images of my awesome creations)!
