Day Four Hundred and Sixty-Six

The Truth About Glittery Paper

Mistake #1:
Procrastination.
Which then leads to panic. Then massive cramming in the most annoying perfectionist manner. And finally, tears. Lots of them. It gets me every time. After 5 years of college, I should have learned. What takes an average person two weeks to accomplish, I cannot finish in a couple days, Kendall. Gosh.

Mistake #2:
Pinterest.
That website is simply unfair. There were just SO MANY neat things to make...and I had to make them ALL.

Mistake #3:
Glitter wrapping paper.
What a bad invention. Seriously, it's terrible. Save yourself at least an hour of work by wrapping with the usual stuff. Tape WILL NOT stick to it. I repeat: TAPE WILL NOT STICK TO IT. I found this out the hard way. After half an hour with my mom's gift, I was about ready to just throw the whole thing away. Smash it all to pieces! Oh I was angry! And then Adam said, "Well, why don't you just use the hot glue gun?" Excuse me? The hot glue gun? For Christmas presents? GENIUS! A few burned fingers later and alas, a wrapped gift. That wasn't so hard now, was it?! At least it looks pretty. Thanks Pinterest.

Now my apartment isn't just a mess...it's a glittery mess too. I even found some in my oatmeal this morning. Ha! Oh the joys of young adulthood! :)
