Day Four Hundred and Fifty-Eight

The Girl With a Swollen Face, The Boy With a Gigantic Gun, The City With a Flash Flood

First appointment with the allergist...test next week. Hopefully no more swollen faces!

Five days after his purchase, Adam finally has his AR-15.
(Taken with my iPhone...forgot my camera all day. Grr)

And then a flash flood. 10 inches of rain and non-stop lightning for 4 hours. Scary stuff.

An up-close of the swelling river on our street. The water cleared the curb and crept WAY TOO close to our back door. We've seen some bad rain storms here. But nothing like last night. Mom was upset when I told her that we don't have renter's insurance. We'll be making that call shortly.

This was taken with my phone...once again. It's hard to see, but that's the Publix parking lot roped off because there's 2 feet of puddled rain in the center of it. And two poor cars submerged half way up their bodies. We saw probably 10 cars completely abandoned in the middle of the street and left overnight. With waters as high as they got, I can't even imagine how many cars were destroyed in the few hours of downpour. Sad stuff.
