The Day Benny Died
While Adam and I enjoyed a peaceful night tossing the football during sunset, things on the other side of the country weren't looking so pretty...
Benny is dead.
Adam says, "I miss him more than ever now."
But Morgan is safe, albeit a bit sore. And that's the most important thing. She's ok. Benny is faithful. He (Adam's old truck) protected Morgan while a bad man ran a red light right into Morgan's driving path. Morgan, who had the green light, smashed into the front driver's side of the other guy's car. Last I heard, that man is fine. Well, I guess as fine as you can be after getting hit and going to jail. Apparently, the villain has multiple outstanding warrants, no insurance, and more things to add to the list...I just can't remember what those things are.
The airbags went off - thankfully - which saved Morgan from any serious injury. When Mom and Dan showed up though, they took her straight to the ER. She was sent home without any outstanding injuries. Thank goodness.
My littlest sister is so sweet. During the whole mess, she was more worried about how Adam and I would react to Benny's death than her own wellbeing...because that Ranger was Adam's old truck and friend (Adam is slightly sentimental about his trucks...haha). We assured her that we couldn't care less about the truck...that we were just relieved that she was ok. If anything, we're glad she was in the truck. If it were a smaller car, I don't want to even think about how different things could have been. We love you, Morgan! Now we just need to find you something else to drive!
This is the other man's car. I can't imagine how scary her night was. Poor Morgan :( I feel terrible that she had to go through this. But I'm at least thankful that everyone walked away unharmed.
