Day Three Hundred and Seventy

The Quarter Century

It's my 25th birthday today and also the last day I'll be in Florida for a month. Therefore, this is what our bedroom looked like before my bags were packed. Hey, it's my birthday! My room is allowed to look however I want it to on my special day!

Adam dressed me up and took me out for a romantic birthday and anniversary dinner. He's FINALLY all mine. No baseball to distract him today! Too bad that all changes tomorrow :( I'm leaving for Washington while he stays to begin minicamp on September 22.

(Thank you Alejandra for my perfect dress!! I LOVE it!! Te amo!)

Following dinner, he took me to a wine bar! We've never shared a bottle of wine together before, but tonight, we changed that!

Then, Adam drove me to the Omphoy Resort and Spa located right on the Atlantic Ocean. Our room is spectacular.

We were even given comfy robes! I don't think they make robes big enough for my husband though. Haha :(

Since our anniversary and my birthday are so close together...and because the season carried on into our special day, we decided to celebrate our anniversary at the resort as well. He wanted our time to be special and I happily agreed. Here he is opening his first gift.  A giant map of the US, with little pins in place where the two of us have traveled to in our first year of marriage. 12 states total. On another unplaced pin, I gave Adam an address to look up. I told him he had to take me to wherever it showed up on the map. The address was to a shooting range in Key Largo, FL. He was confused.

Until he opened his other gift and found a picture of a gun...and a gift certificate to Gander Mountain! He's getting a gun...FINALLY!!!

Adam wrote me the sweetest love letter I've ever received. I cried. He's such a wonderful man and I'm so thankful that I get to spend the rest of my life with him. He also gave me this gorgeous necklace that I'm only allowed "to wear on special occasions." It's absolutely stunning. Wow! He's so dang cute!

I mean, look at the guy! Dressed in his best, he went searching for ice. Unbeknownst to us, the resort brings you ice upon request. Uhm...ok.

I had a wonderful day. My smile never left my face. Thank you family and friends for your kind words, support, and dedication to our lives. We love every single one of you! Now...I'm going to hang out with Adam before I leave in 12 hours :(((

Farewell 24...You treated me beautifully. But I'm looking forward to 25!
