The Day of No Labor
140 games are completely behind us. ONE HUNDRED AND FORTY. Like, is that for real? I don't know where all the days went! Adam even commented today that he feels like life is speeding up on him...he's having trouble recalling what happened when and who was where at what time. Thankfully, we have our blog to remedy the forgotten memories of our fast-paced baseball life. But fast turned a bit slower today, as Adam got to enjoy an afternoon away from the field. The regular season is over. His first one done and in the history books. Forever. Most professional ballplayers have already packed up and headed back home by now...but the playoffs have kept Hammerhead baseball alive. At least for another week. To split up the regular season and post season, the boys got a day off...so we headed to the beach!
Adam, enjoying the ocean from under an umbrella, attracted a small puppy who was also looking for a little relief from the intense Florida sun. Gosh, we really want a puppy! Not now though, Adam says.
The Atlantic was especially murky looking today. We couldn't figure out why, but guessed that maybe the waters are still being crashed around by Isaac. Unlike normal days, the water had a greenish tint to it, was really choppy, and not that warm. But Adam's hair was sexy. And that's all that really matters! Would ya just look at it! I'm in love. Haha.
Along with the waters being crazier than usual, we also noticed that the beach was looking a little different too. Scattered randomly about the sand were little clear blobs of...well, we didn't know! So we stopped to ask a local and they told us that the clear blobs are body parts of dead jellyfish! Gross! We were given instruction not to step on them, as the tentacles could still sting us. After realizing what we were up against, we decided to leave. We just weren't feeling the wildlife today...or the murky water. To us, that sounds like a death wish. By shark. No thank you!
