The Sea World Adventure!
Sea World Orlando!!!
It's almost 3 AM. An 8 hour adventure. A 3 hour drive home. Ellie leaves tomorrow. So much to do. So little time. Our day...in as few words as possible.
Monkey got sunscreen in his eye. Tried wiping it out. No luck. Our day started off miserably. First hour, all crying baby.
Any time you see a whale in this position, you're probably having a good time. Well, Ellie and I were. So was Shamu.
Baby, not so much. He was an unhappy camper. Tears rolling. And rolling.
After the show, we went straight to First Aid. Restraining his flailing baby arms, we poured faucet water into his eye over and over. Tearing baby became screaming baby. Added in a few saline drops and soon enough, he was feeling much better. And could finally see.
He was still a bit squnity when we went on our Artic Trek. But at least he was sorta smiling by then.
I think there might be a hint of a smile in The North Pole.
Oh yes! That's a smile for sure!! Hunter loves the stuffed animal polar bear named "Whitacre" that Adam gave me 2 years ago. He's been playing with Whitacre all vacation at our apartment. We told him that we'd see real Whitacres today and he perked up. Real Whitacre was asleep when we saw him, but Hunter was so happy! Then we found a bin full of more stuffed ones! He was in paradise!
The Shark Encounter. Hunter was eaten alive! Ahhhh!
After seeing our very first sharks, the sea lions and otters were up next! This was our favorite! Everyone was in a perfect mood and the show was stinkin cute. I'd pay just to see it again!
Entranced by the sea lions!
Ever since meeting "Haymitch the Turtle" at the Turtle Rescue here in Jupiter, Hunter has talked about him daily. When he realized more Haymitches were swimming around right above his head, he squealed with an excitement we hadn't seen all day. My boy was coming back. Yay! I love his happy laughs!
But I love his kissies more!
After 8 hours of Sea World walking, our feet were dead, our skin soggy, and our hair...welll...just look at it! But those smiles stuck around the entire night. We had an incredible time, even after the early day drama. I absolutely love having Ellie here. More than she could ever know. It's been a blessing being able to spend so much time with my best friend, and it's going to shatter my heart to say goodbye tomorrow. I already cried once inside Sea World today. I am so not looking forward to 12:08 PM. My face might end up looking like Hunter's did today :(
And now, I'd like to join my nephew. He passed out immediately after leaving the park. It was a long day for my sweet baby boy, and now, he's cuddled up with Mommy in my bed. I can't wait to have one more snooze with my two precious friends. Goodnight.
