The Good and the Bad. The Happy and the Sad.
This guy is happy. I am not.
I think you have to be a happy person if you're willing to take a jog in the middle of a hurricane. That, or you have nothing else to lose. For now, I'm trying to be optimistic. He's just a happy jogger who likes really hard, torrential down pouring rain. Isaac has arrived.
This guy is not happy. Just like me. Especially since I did this to him.
We got our AC finally fixed today. It's been a week and a half since our central air has blown anything actually cool. And so, since we're technically breaking the HOA rules for having this thing in the window, I decided to take it upon myself to remove the unit from the window. I was a little angry in the minutes before its removal. My bitter emotions regarding the AC fiasco were finally at their boiling point. I just wanted the window unit out and everything to be done and over with. Forgotten. But the second I opened the window, things went from bad to worse. I didn't exactly understand how the AC unit sat in the window. So before I had a moment to consider what was happening, the darn thing was lying dented, bruised, and battered on the grass outside my first story apartment. It fell right out the window. Gosh I was mad. Adam rushed in the room, helped to retrieve the busted appliance and took over from there. Why I decided to take on this task without Adam's help is probably the most idiotic thing I could do. I'm slowly learning the beauty of patience, but it's taking me a very long time. I wanted immediate results. Instead, I got the exact opposite. Darn.
Adam tried to resuscitate the broken machine back to life. But to no avail. It's still dented. The fan makes crazy noises when it's plugged in. And there are little baby gecko eggs falling out from all its crevices. Adam even stepped on one. But he kept his calm, as always, and grabbed the vacuum. I need his calm spirit. I pray for his calm spirit. I am such a blessed woman for having him as an example. In my fit and terrible mood, he even fixed dinner, served it to me, and did all the dishes. He's incredible. Unselfish. Loving. Thank you Sweetheart. For everything.
Did I mention that this window AC unit was borrowed. Darnit. Darnit. Darnit!
