Day Three Hundred and Twelve

The Traveling Wife

I spend a lot of time in our truck. I think it’s quite possible that I’ve put more miles on it than Adam has. I don’t know if I should be ashamed of that or proud? But if I had it my way, I’d ride shotgun to every stadium that baseball chooses to take us to. Unfortunately, that’s not an option, as Adam is required to ride the bus with his team. That, I do understand. And I don’t have any complaints with it. Ever. Except when I run into things like this. I can handle the driving, I can handle the miles, but I cannot handle some gas station pumps. Haha! Our truck has a THIRTY-SIX gallon tank. Ok, that’s really big. And I never realized how large our gas tank really was until I had to manually hold the gas pump the entire time it took to fill it up. Hand cramp? Uhm, YES! Oh my gosh! Shell, why withhold the little holder thingy on the pump? And now that I think about it…holy cow….what did they do before the invention of those little  holder thingys? Hahaha ;)

On my way back to Jupiter from Tampa, I saw off in the distance, a HUGE yellow and blue store. That could only mean one thing: IKEA. Wahoo!! Before today, I’d never been inside one. And I’m happy to say that I’m no longer deprived! Although, Adam still is. Booo. But what a neat concept for a store! In two hours, I browsed the monstrosity of a complex, finding a few little things for our apartment. I took way too many pictures of future ideas and beautiful rooms that I wouldn’t mind sleeping in. I seriously could’ve spent 4 more hours in there…no problem. Maybe next time, when Adam comes with me!!! If you’ve never been to an IKEA before, I’d strongly suggest you go and see for yourself. It’s so neat!

We’re finally back home now, loving the comfort of our apartment, and excited for ELEVEN straight days of baseball in Jupiter! Yay!!
