The Sixth Game and Hunter's First
This is what a starting pitcher’s day looks like when a
sister and a nephew is involved. It’s currently 2:03 AM here and getting later
by the minute. So, another day in photos is what’s on the menu.
Biscuits and gravy make you grow big and strong. We’re trying
to teach Hunter that, although, he’d rather play than eat.
Stick ‘em up! Hunter surprise attacked Uncle in the shade
with a squirt in the face. We needed to cool off, so we made a quick pool
visit.
Hunter thought it would be funny to throw all of our sandals
into the water. He was right. It was funny.
On our way to the baseball game, we came across a movie
scene on Main Street, right in front of the field. They were filming live and
we got to watch a little bit of it!
Big Boy’s first professional baseball game! We found Adam
right away and Hunter waved and waved hi to Uncle. Big League Dreamers!
Adam had another solid outing, minus the 5th
inning. He’s been working hard on the development of his slider and mixed all
his pitches really well tonight. Things are coming along, and although the
scoreboard shows numbers that sometimes I don’t like to see, he’s getting
better every day. He came out in the fifth with one out and two on base. The
next pitcher came in and gave up a 3-run homer, and those two runners went onto
Adam’s ERA. Boooo. His line for the night: 4.1 IP, 5 H, 4 R, 4 ER, 4 BB, 3 K
and the L. He was up 3-2 when he came out of the fifth though. Grrr.
Lovin my supporters. But maybe Ellie is bad luck? She said
so herself! Haha ;)
Big Boy isn’t used to Florida humidity. His little cheeks
were bright red and hot, so we took his shirt off and poured water over his
head. He woke up after that!
And that’s when his personality came to life. He met the
entire crowd and said “hi” and “adios” to every one of them! I don’t know how
many comments I got on how precious, handsome, and polite he was…it’s all true!
We even made friends with Robby the Cardinal tonight!
