The Real Deal
I don't think I quite understood how fortunate we are to be in Greensboro...until today. Welcome to Hagerstown. Home of the Suns and about, oh, 100 fans. Maximum. Compare that to the 5,000 (average) we get, and wow, I was beginning to feel a tiny bit bad for the Maryland boys. Just a tiny, though. I mean, c'mon, you know it's brutal when they don't even have running water and serve their concessions from a cardboard box. I have a feeling that this is actually what minor league baseball is supposed to be like. More Bull Durham-style. Instead, we're living it up in Greensboro with box-seat waitresses. Just like the Bigs.
Any good baseball wife should have an idea of how to "keep book." Between game 1 and game 2 of today's doubleheader, I looked over the game chart to cover my bases. And yep! I still remember how to do it! I did have a few questions though. Some of the stats they keep were foreign to me, but after a brief lesson from my hubby, my skills are polished. He's such a good and patient teacher! Maybe I'll start recording my own version of Adam's games? Hmmm.
