Day Two Hundred and Twenty-Two

The Ring Is Far Too Big For Any Grasshopper I Ever Saw

So, in the past week, all I've heard about is "Bob's Ring." Ok, that's not true. He has much more to say than that. His words often remind me of the man who married Adam and I. Our dear friend, Josh...and actually, when I explained to Adam what Bob was like, I told him, "Just think of Josh...only a bit older. And a little (ok...a lot) louder." Haha. Anyways. The Ring. It's certainly been a dominant topic of conversation. He's reminded me more times than I can count on one hand about Thursday Night's Bling. It's first official public appearance. And for good reason. I mean, c'mon! Would ya look at the thing! Holy GIGANTIC! His arm was dead by the end of the game...it was just too heavy to lift up all 10 innings! :) He's going to be sore tomorrow. Haha.

(Last year, the Greensboro Grasshoppers were the Champions of the South Atlantic League! Every player, coach, and person-like-Bob, received a personalized ring in honor of their achievement. How about a 2012 repeat? Ok!)

"Well, would ya look at it!" (<--- That's a line from one of Adam's favorite YouTube videos. It's real dumb, but my simple-minded man gets a kick out of it every time! Haha. Honey, you're mind's actually not simple at all). So, I showed up to the game, and our friend, Bob, had this precious gem waiting for me. And no, I'm not talking about the ring he's pointing to! In today's local paper, the sweetest article was written about Adam. Its title, "Lefty Has Right Stuff" highlighted Adam's impressive first 3 outings, but focused primarily on the success of his mental approach to the game he loves so dearly. Once again, I cried. Both at the words and at the kindness Bob showed in bringing me a copy.

Meet (part of) the future staff of the Marlins.
Jose, Charlie, Adam.
This picture is of nothing but studs.

Ohhhhh, one more thing! Gosh, my entries are long these days! If you have a few more minutes, check out this other article written about Adam!! SO PROUD OF HIM.
