Day One Hundred and Fifty-Four

The Automatic Bubble Bath

When we bought the truck, we were warned not to put it through the car wash - to always hand wash it instead. Well, we broke the rules today. And, to our great surprise, we didn't break the equipment. Or the Raptor. Wahoo! Since we don't have a hose available at the apartment, and it rains at least once a day, car washes are a legitimate part of our budget. Normally, the hand wash service takes an hour to complete. But this business cuts that time in half! Our truck stands a bit meaner than the average F-150; it's much wider, and so, to make it street legal, Ford had to equip the Raptor with an extra set of marker lights. This is why you're not supposed to run it through the typical automatic car wash - it doesn't fit! Luckily, we found a place today that meets the needs of our bulky friend, and now he gets to bathe in a timely manner, just like everybody else. And we like that. It's the small things that count in this family.
