The Fourth Month
And now we're officially only 596 months away from our goal! We haven't decided what's going to happen after our 50th anniversary, as our bucket list item only aims to achieve a fifty year marriage...Hopefully our vows sustain the days following that 600th month ;) And hopefully he still likes me too. So far, so good. Really good. Our first four months of married life have been blissful beyond words. We often look at each other confounded by the gift we've been given and the love that spills into our hearts, day after day. And it's all just an overflow from the God who's provided us with so much more. We're abundantly happy, and even more, we're slowly gaining eyes to see that marriage is a beautiful way to strengthen our relationship with the Lord. We feel like two kids in a candy store, and couldn't be more thankful for what we've been given.
Tonight, we celebrated at Adam's favorite Italian restaurant: The Olive Garden. Me, slightly reluctantly. They're not known for healthy options, but my man loves their Tour of Italy, so I tagged along :) He literally rolled his eyes upon first bite. It was cute. And I giggled. Turns out that those 1500 calories taste a lot better than my apricot chicken. It's no wonder he likes it so much! We enjoyed a peaceful night together, staring googly-eyed at the other. I really like this boy. And I'm so happy he's mine.
In more exciting and less sappy news, Adam had a big day today. He's back on the grind, working out, and starting his new throwing program. He weighed in at 197, and by the looks of it, will be 200 by Spring Training! Also, as of today, he's signed a 1-year glove deal with Rawlings, and a 3-year contract with Under Armor! So long, Nike...for now!
Reading about your love warms my heart! Happy days!! I too dream of a Golden 50!!!
