Day One Hundred and Seventeen

The Day is Longer When You Wake Up Earlier

So, a few things worth noting happened today.

1) In less than three months, yes THREE, we've put 5,000 miles on our truck. Better yet, Adam put 5,000 miles on his truck. Yes, much better. It's few and far between that I ever captain our massive machine, but you'll never hear me complain. I like riding shotgun, shouting off directions, and playing DJ. And I'll be the first to brag that chivalry is not dead. He still opens the door for me every single time I'm with him. Such a gentleman.

2) Like a stain on your shirt, nobody notices the small imperfections besides yourself. Well, the same can be said for our truck. About a month ago, a Pepsi truck swiped our back bumper, leaving a mark that might be noticeable if you either knew it was there, or if you were really looking hard at it. I therefore notice the blemish all the time. And today, I realized that within the past few days, the mark has increased in size and color. We've come to the obvious conclusion that the driver's side back bumper has been "bumped" yet again. Darnit.

3) Victoria's Secret is having their semi-annual sale. I had 2 old, faded bathing suits...and I live in Florida. Now I have 9. Average price? 10 bucks. Not bad, savvy shopper, not bad at all.

4) Our neighbor's name is Robert. He has two Australian Shepherd puppies: Marlin and Tebow. Tonight, while they were going potty, we got to talking to Robert. Turns out, he has a television show called Respect Outdoors that airs every Monday on the Sportsman Channel. And he's the host. He travels all over the world chasing hunting and fishing stories, and tonight we got the first takes of the upcoming 2012 season. I think I want to hunt alligator now.

5) I gave the blog a slight makeover.
