Day One Hundred and Fifteen

The Pin-Up Girl

No, not that kind! There's a new obsession that's captivated the time of many wanna-be creative minds out there. It's called Pinterest. And I've fallen captive to its brilliance. Seriously. It's an online pin board of all things that might grasp your interest. You found a recipe online that you like? Pin it to your "recipe" board. Then come back to it when you're ready to whip up the ingredients. Oh, you came across the cutest outfit ever? Pin it to your "wardrobe" board and fashion it once you've got the items. And my favorite? Find EVERY SINGLE thing you can craft, be it by sewing, crocheting, gluing, painting, stapling, framing, and pin those ideas to your "craft" board. Then look at them daily, dreaming of how cute you could eventually decorate your house. If that day ever comes. Continue dreaming until you've decided that you're just going to do it. And then go to Goodwill. Well, that's at least where my first craft took me. Adam and I were on the lookout for old, cheap frames to begin crafting my first project. And while he rummaged the frames, I searched Pinterest for the instructions. Well, he caught me in the act of my "pinning"...but he won't complain. Someday our stark apartment will transform itself into the Conley home that I've always dreamed of. Thank you Pinterest!!

And I must not leave out a big chunk of our night: The Biggest Loser (our favorite show as a couple) and the Iowa Caucuses! Neither Adam nor I have ever been engaged in the musings of politics. It just never captivated our interests. At all. But since "officially" graduating into the real world of life, we feel compelled to educate ourselves in the political issues that shape our country. And we're actually enjoying it greatly. We've learned much in the recent days and are excited to continue on this path. Here's to becoming adults. *Cheers!*
