Day Ninety-Eight

The Last-Minute-Still-Haven't-Even-Started-Christmas-Shopping Shoppers

No. We haven't started Christmas shopping yet. And no. That bag isn't filled with Christmas presents. Unless, of course, an iron and a toaster for the apartment count? I think we'll end up wrapping them anyways, just to pretend that we actually have some sort of "Christmas Spirit." Even then, gift wrapping and decorations don't fulfill the spirit of the season like the fulfillment of Jesus, and in that case, we're doing great! But, we would like to celebrate his birth with a few of the traditional Christmas-y items we've both grown up with. Currently: we have no tree. We have no presents. We have no cookies or candies. We definitely have no snow. And stockings? You can forget about them. And even without all the frills, we're loving this season of life. By the 25th, our sights are set on spending Jesus' birthday with the family we've made, and the one special someone who'll be joining us in our celebration. Katy comes in on the 20th. That means? We need to get all those specified items that are currently lacking in our apartment before Tuesday. Sounds easy? No so! After hunting through Macy's for our parents' gifts, we left without anything to give. Bummer. From there, we decided to search for our Christmas tree and some white lights to dress it up with. We came home without a tree, without lights, without stockings or cookies or candies or snow. BUT, we do have some new ideas! Sunday is already mapped out, and by this time tomorrow night, we'll hopefully have some good news to share!

Oh! And check out the crazy tree in the background! Looks like some little elf messed up!
