Day Sixty-Seven

The Floridians

It turns out that becoming a legal resident of the Sunshine State is quite the hassle. Required: a current ID, a raised seal birth certificate, a Social Security card, and two pieces of official mail with proof of address. And for the women, an additional copy of your marriage license must be provided. The brunette lady at the counter next to us wasn't aware of this fact...she'd been married for 15 years, needed a license renewal, and was floored when they turned her away for not supplying her official marriage license. Amidst the screaming lady, an adamant manager, whispering onlookers, and one curious lady in pink, Adam stood tall for his date with the camera. As of today, the Conleys are both legal residents of Florida with a pair of licenses to prove it! I do have to mention that Adam was quite saddened at the fact that his 195 lbs are meaningless here - they don't provide that information on the license! But on the positive side of things, he was measured 6'4!"

And for those who haven't heard, my dad started his first round of IV Chemotherapy today! I got to talk with him tonight and he's doing really well! A bit nauseous and completely exhausted, but otherwise in great spirits! Praise the Lord!
