Our first day at the beach, and what a day it was! A bit apprehensive of the diverse wildlife, Adam and I waded cautiously through the waves. He was much braver than I, as any skim of my leg by some unknown life forced a shriek from my lungs. It'll take some time for us to become acquainted with the ocean, but we're beginning at a decent starting point. We enjoyed the tricks of professional skim boarders, the feeding of a large school of fish, and the startling surprise of a waddling crab just feet in front of us. Following a few hours of Florida sunshine, met with stinging eyes, reddened skin, and a permanent salty taste, we were eager for a rinse, some shade, and a meal. But on our way home, Adam took a detour that landed us in a car lot, where we spent a few hours shopping around for our first vehicle. Definitely a fun way to end an already wonderful day.
