The Marlin
His new alias is no match for my keen senses. As soon as I laid eyes on this tall drink of water in the bullpen, I grinned immediately and eagerly watched my Marlin prepare for his 2 innings against Team Italy. Dawning number 32, a perfectly-fitting new color scheme, and pants just the way I like them, he commanded his game with precision. Working on his slider, Adam struck out one in the first inning, three in the second, with one hit and one walk. Not bad for a guy whose third best, and most questionable pitch, is a slider! After months away from the field, I feel so blessed to be able to sit before Adam and support his efforts to attain lofty goals and dreams. (And you'll have to excuse this sub-par image...I was the only woman at the field, and was a bit uncomfortable walking around too much! So, I quickly shot this one and walked away. Haha! They'll get better in time!)
