The Cleanest Deception

Nap time in our home is still 100% a thing - including for our nearly-five-year-old. 

But I have a nearly-seven-year-old who’s unfortunately nearing the end of his napping days. We still “require” at least an hour and a half of quiet time from him which we’ll hopefully always keep - as we believe that everyone in the home needs a little bit of scheduled peace and focused time to themselves.  

And since an hour and a half is sort of a long time for a 6 year old, I gave  him the option of either sleeping or cleaning his room before drawing. He chose to clean. “Clean.”

And once I realized the deceit that was clearly exposed the moment I walked in the door, he cleaned it yet again. 

COME ON BUB! I wasn’t born yesterday. When’s he gonna understand that?! And who in their right mind would choose to clean over sleeping! Ah! The injustice!
