Day 4,118

The Year 32

My love.
THE happiest birthday to you, sweet man.

In all my years knowing you and loving you, I've never felt about you before the way I do today. Apart from my salvation, you are the greatest treasure and grace of my life and with each passing day, I only understand that truth more. I am forever grateful for the way the Lord has so uniquely and specifically created you--His kindness in allowing me to enjoy your life alongside you is overwhelming.

(Happy last day of art and PE school!!)

For Daddy's birthday, he got to work on his car (which has quickly become a favorite hobby),

he got specially made Louie cupcakes,

he got a surprise birthday party at the baseball field,

and lots of special Happy Birthday cards made just for him by his most favorite people.

BEST DADDY EVER.
For real.
No comparison.
You're the very best and we love you so!
Happy birthday, Adam Michael!

Day 4,099

The Gas Tanked

She enjoyed her concert dress so much that she wore it the whole next day and decided that since she's so skilled at violin as a three year old, she may as well get a head start on piano too ;)

In other news, Dad ran out of gas. He loves his new-old car, though it does come with a few minor inconveniences that make driving it particularly...special...like the gas gauge that doesn't work.

Nonetheless, we still managed to make it to Bubba's last regular season game of the season, nearly on time! (There he is on first base, after drawing another walk!)

Mr. Nick was able to come cheer our boy on, although two of the girls did keep the grown men rather occupied with their multiple trips to the car for forgotten toys and extra snacks.

The other girl? In the dirt, just like you guessed.

Day 2,373

The Car Wash

They’re workin at it!
Daddy’s been slowly slowly tinkering with his ‘68 Mustang and yesterday was the perfect day for a total body scrub to remove some of the loose rust and settled dirt. Though the kids weren’t allowed to help with much of the initial cleaning, they were excited to get their hands dirty on the outside of Dad’s car once all the rust was safely removed by Daddy!
