Day Thirteen Hundred and Seventy-Five

The Winners

I just...
I'm not...
I can't even...
Oh my gosh, this is real life.

My house is a disaster. It's a fact that maybe I'd be ashamed of...if I didn't just finish galavanting across America (and Canada) for the past three weeks with an infant. I'm trying to cut myself some slack here as I look around, but seriously? How did this even happen?! I need a robot. Or a maid. Or a baby who's not currently experiencing growing pains, taking every second of my attention. Actually, I just need to close my eyes and continue cuddling. Because her snuggles are a bajillion times more important than my messy home. And at least all the diapers are in the trash can. So we win.

Also, somehow, in all our travels, I lost my Sonicare toothbrush. It's gone. Disappeared. Vanished. Buh bye. No idea where it could be. Darnit. However, I found quite the deal on these new brushes and I couldn't pass it up. So, I have a messy house but clean teeth. That's a double win if you ask me.

And triple win when you have someone this beautiful snuggling your chest while shopping Whole Foods. So there.

Day One Thousand Two Hundred and Twenty-Six

The Conley's New Approach to Medicine

Take a look at our new and much improved medicine cabinet!
Medicine cabinet? What? Yep! Medicine cabinet!
Adam and I have learned so much these past few months and recently realized the numerous benefits offered by the use of essential oils. So, we decided to take the plunge. We're still in the way beginner's stage of this new approach to our health, but already - in just three nights - we've seen results in our sleep patterns simply by diffusing lavender! That's right...I'm actually sleeping now!!! And Adam is too! We're excited and looking forward to experiencing the healing properties of these natural, chemical-free, Earth-derived products by Native American Nutritionals.
_________

Tonight, we'll attempt using Oregano oil, Braggs Apple Cider Vinegar, and coconut oil on a small little wart Adam has on the bottom of his foot. If you remember last year when this happened, we ended up taking Adam to the podiatrist and getting the nasty thing cut out. Hopefully this time though, we can heal his foot without pain, but most importantly, without having him miss any time on the field!! We'll keep an update on his wart as the removal process begins!

Day One Thousand Two Hundred and Seventeen

The Best Worst Remedy

Adam's been fighting off cold-like symptoms for the last few days, so yesterday, I decided to take his health into my own hands. Instead of gulping down a bunch of DayQuil - which we canned last week anyways - I mixed him up a natural, organic liquid that's supposedly supposed to stop this nasal/throat junk right in its tracks. He hates me for it...mostly because it tastes absolutely wretched (apple cider vinegar is no joke)...but this morning he woke up and said his throat felt better already...soooooo...he'll be drinking this concoction twice daily until his green snot is gone, hate or not. And hopefully, he despises this drink so much that he never gets sick again. At least not until next offseason.

Soon too, I'll be getting my first order of essential oils in from Native American Nutritionals and I'm hoping that paired with this drink and some other tinctures, Adam will enjoy a healthy Spring Training come February and not lose the 10 pounds he notoriously loses every spring due to a compromised immune system!
