Day 2,996

The Lacy Skin and Ninja Tricks

So...welcome to the home of the weird lacy rash. Is it an allergic reaction? Is it Fifths? Is it an impressive art rendition by a two year old that should be submitted? I’m not sure. But because she literally has zero other symptoms, we’re letting this one work itself out on its own. She’s not come off her typical crazy, adorable RhinocerSis self once, so we’re just hoping it passes soon and not taking her to hang out with friends until it’s gone. Whiiiiiich meant this Mama and two babies stayed home from church yesterday too. No baseball. No church. (And today, no gymnastics).  She’s bummed she’s missing out, but at least we’re getting some quality Mommy/MaeMae moments!

Once everyone got home from church and rested up from naps, we just spent the rest of the evening really enjoying ourselves. It’s not hard to do with this squad. Watching Amelia learn how to pedal from a standstill could make the grumpiest of men laugh. She’s great. But not that great at initiating her own bike ride.

The fun didn’t stop. We continue bringing more and more gymnastics skills home and once again, they surprised me with a new “trick.” Maybe lacking some in modesty, but I can appreciate the effort, that’s for sure! Molly can too!

And sure, let’s climb walls while we’re at it!
It’s crazy. And it’s fun. And it’s a whole lot of work.

But we sure love it. Even if like Molly, we’re a bit on the sleepy side.
