Day Seventeen Hundred and Sixty-Seven

The Closer

Marlins Mimi's Park.

We spent our last day of the All-Star Break at the field with Dada.
We left home and made the hour and a half long drive to Miami so that Adam could throw a bullpen and get back into baseball form. Mimi watched closely and tried her hardest to hug Dada's legs while he threw.

But behold! A bin full of baseball was all we needed for a distraction!

She threw all the balls out of the bucket and by that point, was just as warmed up as Adam. And she said, "Dad, I got this."

And out she went to close the game!

ACon2 enters for the Ninth and the crowd goes wild!

She won the game. She won Dad's heart. But then he mercilessly broke hers in half when he had to say goodbye. A whole week with no Daddy! Uhhhh! Worthy of a temper tantrum, absolutely, Amelia!

But our frowns turned quickly into smiles when we picked Hunter, Parker, and Ellie up from Fort Lauderdale on our way back home!! The three of them are visiting for the next two weeks and we're SO pumped! It's been too long missing our cousins and obviously, they're happy to be reunited!

And Amelia was also equally as happy that her baby carrier finally game in! Now she can be just like Mama! Look at Parker - he'll tell you - LIFE IS GOOD!
