Day 3,028

The Two Front Teeth One Day Too Late

We’ve got a one-day late “All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth” child. He ripped the second of two consecutive teeth out of his head during nap time yesterday. The other he pulled out on Christmas Day. The whole time yesterday, we were sitting there thinking he was a sleep and lo and behold, out walks our six and a half year old with blood all over his shirt and one tooth dangling from his top gum. If only naps were SO miserable that you’d rather yank a tooth from your head than close your eyes to sleep.
*Mommy eye roll*

Yesterday was mostly just one big long lazy day. And we needed it. The children got to enjoy their new gifts and Mommy and Daddy got to finally relax just a little bit. Tiny bit.

Daddy did go to workout though. And we did play catch. And my four year old proved correct the age requirement for driving when she chose to unintentionally mash over our gloves with her new Jeep.

And these two girls - I can’t be sure whether intentionally or not - mashed my wishes of an early bedtime with fits and tossing and turning that led to me not even crawling BACK into bed until 1AM. Weeeeeeeeeee
Goodnight. I’m not complaining BUT...I’m quite incredibly tired.
