The Way of Our Day
Bear’s First Grade year is off to a bit of a slow start, but he is doing great which makes things easier. We’re finally getting more consistency in being one place for more than a week, so we’ll be in catch up mode for the next little while and back up to speed in no time!

What’s always the most helpful about homeschooling the last two years is the fact that half of the year, I have Adam home to help watch the girls while Bearett studies. Yesterday, however, we found this little stink snuck off while her sister read to Daddy. Not quite a well oiled machine yet.

Once school is done, we have outside time, then lunch time, and then all the girls go to sleep and Bearett gets to choose quiet time or sometimes, Daddy time. He made the obvious choice and sure got a lot of it yesterday!

Soon enough, they all start waking up one by one.

She was the second up and since we were all outside playing on the grass, it was her turn to feel the sheer unpleasantness of Florida crab grass. She wasn’t impressed like she was with the blanket-soft grass in Washington. Sorry girl.

We’re working together and making the best of our time together so far. It’s hot. It’s humid. And we have a lot to do still, but slowly and with much sweat, it’s coming together. So happy to be home.
