The Days of Whirlwind
So yeah, homeschool is still a thing. Even when you’ve lived in two different cities, endured two separate moves, and traveled nearly 3,000 miles for a ten day trip to see family...all at the very end of season. Maybe we’re a teeeeeeny tad bit behind...but in my defense - and his - Bearett kept his learning up so well during summer that he’s really just refreshing most of what he already learned last year. Still rusty with that tricky “W” sound and which way the d and p face. Also, touching those dotted lines in penmanship is like stepping on the crack that broke your mom’s back. Kid must be scared he’ll break mine if he touches them! Aye. All in all, he’s learning more scripture and enjoying most of what we do. I’ll take it.

Breakfast most days here has consisted of oatmeal at our AirBnb before school and play. Then, it’s usually off to Auntie Ellie’s or Grandma’s, yesterday being at Ellie’s because...

...while the boys shopped a northwest outdoors store...

...the girls put on makeup and got ready for family photos!

We were so excited - especially our ultra-girly auntie Ellie, who never really gets the chance to doll up girls since she has all boys!

And then, soo as we knew it, we were all freezing our tails off at the photo location, getting beautiful images captured by one of my dear friends, Susan.

It went just about as perfect as her face.

And the boys didn’t even hate it as much as they should’ve because not too far in the distance, five deer were prancing in the fields.

With four separate sessions going on, I was quite thankful for the extra arms to shoulder the load. Thanks Shelb! Ella Mae keeps telling me now how much she loves her “She-bee!”

Waiting, waiting, waiting.
Hey guys, look at me!

Molly? Wanna take some pictures?
Ok yeah, didn’t think so.
Not sure how my photos are going to turn out this time - our tiny Louie decided to be the most tired she’s ever been during our time slot. Weeeeee.

Win or lose, I still got this image, so there.

Goodness I love my family.
And finally, back to Ellie’s for our last night in Spokane for probably quite some time. We’re sad to leave because of all our family and friends here (this is a photo of all my kids, all Ellie’s kids, and two of Susan’s three kids!), but Florida and church is calling and we must go!
But first: re-pack six people while everyone sleeps. Ready, go!
