Yesterday was such a treat. Amelia and I had everyone over for our first entertaining experience in our new home home to watch Uncle Adam pitch! He did great and though he didn't get the win, he maybe threw the best he has all season except for a couple pitches (one SUPER crazy one that sailed all the way to the backstop)!

His line against the Cardinals:
5.1 IP, 3H, 3R, 2ER, 3BB, 9K
He's still 6-5 with a 3.61 ERA

The Fish are .5 games ahead of the Mets and only 5.5 games behind the Nationals in the NL East. We're currently second in the National League Wild Card race, making every single game important and a thrill to watch!

Write-up

Video of his WILD (planned?) pitch!

Adam will pitch FRIDAY at home against the Mets when they return home from Philly! Also, in case you're as freaked out about Amelia's face as I was - she's fine. She fell from Parker's baby swing and bashed her face into the poles that hold it up from the ground...probably a foot and a half fall straight to her face. It immediately swelled up and she was bleeding from both her mouth and her nostrils. She screamed and cried the longest and hardest she's ever done from a "boo boo," but though this is by far the worst one to date, she was up and playing not an hour later. We remedied her with a frozen acai pop, milkie, and kisses. I checked her teeth and they're not discolored. Her nose was not crooked. No black eyes. But she has a bright red mark under her nose and a VERY intensely blue/black upper lip that was still extremely swollen when she woke up this morning. It seems to have gone down throughout the day, but she definitely looks like a Who, straight out of How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Mommy is heartbroken over MillieGirl's fall. She's a trooper though and other than mostly showing no interest in food today, she's remained her normal fun-loving self.
