The Quest for 3,000
Ichiro is only TWO hits away from 3,000 career MLB hits - he'll be the 30th player in history to hold that accomplishment - and last night, he was in the lineup to start the game.
And so, we got ready really fast and sped to the game, hoping to watch history unfold. Ichiro is our fourth outfielder, so he doesn't get to start as often as the other outfielders, so everyone was sure to be at the game yesterday! But he was hitless on the night and as of today, still is looking for those last two hits. We're hoping we get to see him achieve it sometime soon!!! Until then, Mimi will just keep clapping away at the "Ichiro Ichiro" chants, and we'll keep riding his elevator!
